Women Empowerment

Equality of opportunity is a fundamental concept that underlies the construct of the modern workplace. We at Tecno are fundamental believers in this nation and its application is visible throughout our companies. Nearly 40% of our employee count constitutes women, with several taking senior level positions. Separate eating and transportation facilities are designed to make them feel comfortable at work. We at Tecno treat each employee as our responsibility and it is our job to provide an environment in which they can provide for their families in safety.

Employee Commitment

Often times, employees are treated with a disregard that reduces them to no more than numbers as a spreadsheet. Behind those number, however, is a breathing individual with dream, team and insecurities just like our own. Treating them like the machines they are not, is an injustice. Far more can be achieved by replacing stringency with flexibility and apathy with empathy. The highest of corporate standards still apply but with an empathy that makes our employees feel part of a community. Tecno’s decision to continue paying employees during the Covid Pandemic is proof of our diligence from the rest of the business community and our commitment towards our own.

Animal Protection

As human beings, we are part of a vast and complex ecosystem in which all living things exist in perpetual interdependence. At Tecno, we recognize that we have a responsibility to protect and nourish this ecosystem. Thus, our association with the Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation, an organization that for 10 years has operated with the sole objective of protecting and sheltering abused and injured street animals. Their display of empathy and compassion is something that everyone in our community should aspire to achieve and the Tecno group is proud to play what little role we can to assist them in the pursuit of their objective.
